Our Mission
At Winter Park Christian Church, our mission is to foster a strong and inclusive community centered around faith and love. We believe in serving and inspiring others through our commitment to the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Core Beliefs
1. The Holy Trinity
We believe in the Holy Trinity, consisting of God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit. We recognize and worship the triune nature of God as revealed in the Bible.
2. The Authority of Scripture
Scripture is a central authority in our faith. We affirm the Bible as the inspired Word of God, serving as a guide for our beliefs and actions. We seek to understand and apply its teachings in our lives, individually and as a community.
3. Salvation through Grace
We believe that salvation is a gift of God's grace. It is through faith in Jesus Christ and His sacrificial death and resurrection that we receive forgiveness of sins and eternal life. We endeavor to share this message of grace with others.
4. Discipleship and Christian Living
As followers of Christ, we are called to be His disciples and to live out our faith in all aspects of life. We strive to grow in our relationship with God, imitate the character of Christ, and embody His love, compassion, and justice in our interactions with others.
5. The Church and Sacraments
The Church is more than just a building; it is a community of believers. We believe in the universal Church, composed of all who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior. We also value the practice of baptism and communion as significant sacraments that unite us as the body of Christ.
6. God's Kingdom and Mission
We believe that God's kingdom is both present and future. We are called to be agents of His kingdom on earth, embracing our responsibility to make a positive impact in our communities and the world around us. We actively participate in missions, outreach, and humanitarian efforts as a testament to God's love.
Statement of Faith
Winter Park Christian Church adheres to the following statement of faith:
- We believe in one God, Creator of all things, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, atoning death on the cross, bodily resurrection, ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory.
- We believe in the Holy Spirit, who convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and who indwells every believer, equipping and empowering them for service.
- We believe in the forgiveness of sins and the salvation of all who repent and put their faith in Jesus Christ.
- We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; those who are saved unto the resurrection of eternal life and those who are lost unto the resurrection of eternal separation from God.
- We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, transcending all human divisions.
